AnonyVPN Privacy Policy
1. The Short Version
We're a VPN review site. We don't sell your data, we don't track you across the internet, and we're not doing anything creepy with your visit. If you want the full details, keep reading. But honestly, this is one of the least scary privacy policies you'll ever read.
2. What We Collect
When you visit AnonyVPN, we collect the absolute minimum needed to keep the site running:
- Server logs: Standard web server logs that record your IP address, the page you visited, and your browser type. These are kept for a maximum of 30 days and then deleted. They exist only for debugging and security purposes (like blocking DDoS attacks).
- Contact form submissions: If you fill out our contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message. We use this only to reply to you. We don't add you to marketing lists. We don't sell it.
That's the complete list. We don't use third-party analytics trackers (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel). We don't run ad networks. We don't fingerprint your browser.
3. Cookies
We don't use tracking cookies. The site uses no persistent cookies whatsoever for advertising or behavioral tracking purposes.
The only cookies that might appear are functional ones set by the Formspree contact form service when you submit a message. These are session-only and expire when you close your browser.
4. Affiliate Links
When you click a VPN link on this site and make a purchase, we earn an affiliate commission. This is how we keep the lights on.
What this means for your privacy: when you click through to a VPN provider's website, you leave our site and enter theirs. Their privacy policy applies from that point forward. We recommend reading the privacy policy of any VPN you're considering — ironically, that's kind of the whole point of this site.
We don't receive any personal data from VPN providers about visitors who click our links. We only see aggregate click counts.
5. Third-Party Services
We use a small number of third-party services to run the site:
- Formspree — processes contact form submissions. Their privacy policy is at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
- Cloudflare — provides DDoS protection and CDN. Cloudflare may log request metadata per their privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
- ipwho.is / ipapi.co / ipinfo.io — used on the homepage to show your approximate location on the IP map. Your IP is sent to these services by your browser directly. None of this data passes through or is stored by us.
6. Data Retention
Server access logs: 30 days, then deleted.
Contact form messages: We keep these as long as the conversation is active. If you'd like your message deleted, email us and we'll do it within 7 days.
7. Your Rights
If you're in the EU or UK, GDPR applies. You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Since we hold almost nothing, this is usually a very short conversation.
Email us at [email protected] for any privacy requests.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. We won't send you a newsletter about it because we don't have your email unless you contacted us directly.
