AnonyVPN Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 29, 2026

1. The Short Version

We're a VPN review site. We don't sell your data, we don't track you across the internet, and we're not doing anything creepy with your visit. If you want the full details, keep reading. But honestly, this is one of the least scary privacy policies you'll ever read.

2. What We Collect

When you visit AnonyVPN, we collect the absolute minimum needed to keep the site running:

  • Server logs: Standard web server logs that record your IP address, the page you visited, and your browser type. These are kept for a maximum of 30 days and then deleted. They exist only for debugging and security purposes (like blocking DDoS attacks).
  • Contact form submissions: If you fill out our contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message. We use this only to reply to you. We do not add you to marketing lists. We do not sell it.
  • Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles are popular. Analytics data is aggregated, anonymized at collection (IP truncation enabled), and we never combine it with personally identifying information.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies, grouped into two categories:

  • Essential cookies for site functionality (consent preferences, navigation state). These are always active.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies set by Google Analytics and Google AdSense. These are only set after you accept via the cookie consent banner shown on your first visit.

You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies for this site, which will trigger the consent banner to appear again on your next visit.

4. Google AdSense and Third-Party Advertising

This site participates in the Google AdSense program. Google and its third-party advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites
  • Measure ad performance and attribute conversions
  • Prevent fraud and abuse

Your choices regarding personalized advertising:

  • Opt out of personalized Google ads at google.com/settings/ads
  • Opt out of personalized advertising from third-party vendors at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU)
  • Use the consent banner on your first visit to decline non-essential cookies entirely

Google's use of advertising cookies on partner sites is described in their Partner Sites policy. Our publisher ID is pub-1471775956466552 (visible in our public ads.txt).

5. Affiliate Links

When you click a VPN link on this site and make a purchase, we earn an affiliate commission. This is how we keep the lights on.

What this means for your privacy: when you click through to a VPN provider's website, you leave our site and enter theirs. Their privacy policy applies from that point forward. We recommend reading the privacy policy of any VPN you are considering. Ironically, that is kind of the whole point of this site.

We do not receive any personal data from VPN providers about visitors who click our links. We only see aggregate click counts.

6. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services to run the site:

  • Google AdSense for ad serving and Google Analytics 4 for site analytics. See google.com/policies/privacy.
  • Formspree processes contact form submissions. Their privacy policy is at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
  • Cloudflare provides DDoS protection and CDN. Cloudflare may log request metadata per their privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
  • ipwho.is / ipapi.co / ipinfo.io used on the homepage to show your approximate location on the IP map. Your IP is sent to these services by your browser directly. None of this data passes through or is stored by us.

7. Data Retention

Server access logs: 30 days, then deleted.
Contact form messages: We keep these as long as the conversation is active. If you'd like your message deleted, email us and we'll do it within 7 days.

8. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you're in the EU or UK, GDPR applies. You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Since we hold almost nothing, this is usually a very short conversation.

Email us at [email protected] for any privacy requests.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. We won't send you a newsletter about it because we don't have your email unless you contacted us directly.
